Ewa Michalewicz spent the earlier years of her career in Europe, New Zealand (1982 - 1988), and the United States (1989 - 2004). She holds a master degree in civil engineering and bachelor degree in fine arts, and her current residence is in Adelaide, South Australia. Ewa travelled extensively and visited many countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, England, Italy, Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador (including Galapagos Islands), Chile (including Easter Island), and Brazil.

These travels gave her inspirations for many artworks; countless hours were spent in the most famous galleries and museums (Louvre, Vatican, Ufizzi Gallery, d'Orsay, National Gallery of London, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Prado, and many others).
Ewa's paintings are in many private collections and companies in the United States and many other countries on all continents. Her work is also on the cover of several scientific books published by international publishers in Germany, England, and Netherlands. Her artworks include oil portraits of John Paul II and Lech Walesa.
